The machines are state-of-the-art with stainless steel vacuum chambers, pre-programmed recipes, and user-friendly touch screen interfaces.
Hind High Vacuum Co Pvt Ltd (HHV) has announced the launch of its range of ‘Made in India’ Ophthalmic coaters, under the OPTICOAT platform of coaters, for ophthalmic lenses.
The first model ‘OPTICOAT 600’ is perfectly sized to be suitable for small and mid-sized prescription labs. The next sizes ‘OPTICOAT 1100’ and ‘OPTICOAT 1400’ are designed to support the larger producers of lenses in the country.
The machines, developed entirely out of HHV’s facility at Bengaluru, are built with high quality stainless steel vacuum chambers with electropolished surface and with remote accessibility for software maintenance and upgradation. They are facilitated for easy loading and unloading of lens batches and a powerful pumping system for faster pump down to process pressure. They also include many pre-programmed recipes and user-friendly touch screen interface.
The demand for ophthalmic lenses has been steadily increasing due to the growing number of people requiring vision correction. Advancements in technology have made lenses more accessible to a wider range of customers, further increasing demand. The global ophthalmic lens market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 5.5 per cent between 2021 and 2026.
HHV is extremely pleased to be introducing the OPTICOAT range of Ophthalmic coating systems for the Indian and global markets. This new development highlights HHV’s relentless push to build world-class systems in India. HHV’s motto has been synonymous with the Athamanirbhar push supported by the Government of India to make India a leader in cutting edge technology, informs Prasanth Sakhamuri, Managing Director, HHV.
The marketing strategy will focus on establishing partnerships with prescription-based wholesalers, retailers, and large volume lens manufacturers. With a team of experienced professionals and state-of-the-art equipment that has been designed and built, HHV aims to establish itself as among the leading players in the optical lens deposition equipment market.” added Prasanth Sakhamuri.
HHV specialises in the manufacture of equipment for specialised optical coating applications and is equipped with a global marketing and aftersales team that can provide after sales technical support. The company’s goal is to provide machines that can produce high-quality coatings on lenses at an affordable price to customers who require prescription glasses or contacts.
HHV’s product offerings in the ophthalmic space include a range of specialised equipment that are used for the hard coat and anti-reflection coating of single vision, multifocal, and progressive lenses. Its equipment offers coating capabilities over a range of lens materials including plastic, polycarbonate, and high-index lens materials. The coatings on lenses are done using the latest ion assisted electron beam vacuum process technology. The equipment and processes will be customised to meet the exact needs of its customers.
