Laser Mirrors

Laser Mirrors are the high reflection coatings designed for the use of laser reflection. They are designed for either single line, multi line or broadband type sources. The hard, durable dielectric multilayer coating ensures the high reflection, durability and damage threshold. Laser mirror coatings are useful as cavity mirrors as well as beam steering optics.

Laser mirrors for diamond cutting

DIAMOND CUTTING

Diamond is the hardest material that is available on the earth. Many tools that are used to cut different materials are impregnated with diamond particles. In jewellary, diamond is the best known material for its brilliance. Naturally available diamond is unfinished and looks like a rough stone. Diamond cutting is an art, skill and science of converting the rough stone to a 'gem'. Diamond's quality and price vary greatly depending on the 'cut' quality. Special diamond-bladed tools were used to cut the diamonds, because of the non-availability of the hard-pointed tools. But, after the advent of lasers especially the Nd: YAG (1064 nm), all the conventional tools were replaced with a high power lasers which provided high quality output and yield.

HHV has developed and supplying a set of HR (Rear mirrors), OC (Output Couplers, Bent mirrors (Bender), AR coated protection window, and polarizer set required in the diamond cutting laser machine.

HIGH REFLECTION MIRRORS

High reflection mirrors

High reflection mirrors are also known as rear mirrors or 100% mirrors in cavity. They are designed to reflect the complete laser energy that incident on them.

OUTPUT COUPLERS

Outpur couplers

Output Couplers (OC) known as front mirrors in a laser cavity. Through these mirrors the specific amount oflaser energy will come out of the cavity. Since the light passes through this mirror, the back surface of this mirror is coated with ARC to reduce the bcak surface reflections and loss of laser energy.

BENT MIRRORS

Bent mirrorsBent mirrors are used outside the laser cavity and are used to fold the laser beam . Generally these mirrors are mounted at 45 degree angle to the beam direction.

BEAM COMBINERBeam combiner

Beam combiner is a dichroic beam splitter which works at 45 degree reflects one laser wavelength, while transmitting the other. Beam combiners are useful in directing the two different laser lines mounted at 90 degree separation.

PROTECTION WINDOW

Protection windowWhen the laser beam is processing either the drilling or the cutting opearions, the fine jet can flow back to the laser. In order to protect the laser optics from the damage by these particulate, protection windows are places so that these particles will be restricted from reaching the mirrors. Both sides of the window are AR coated to ensure the laser nergy is not lost during the passage.

POLARIZER PLATE

Polarizer platesThe polarizer plates will be workig at Brewster angle, which acts as polarizer by virtue of its angle and refractive index of the glass. In general, these plates are being used in pairs of Nd:Yag laser.

INPUT LENS

Input lensThese input lenses are BK7 lenses are offered with anti-reflection coatings, either for Nd:Yag laser fundamental or second harmonic wavelength: 1064nm or 532nm. HHV provides a selection of research quality plano-convex, biconvex, biconcave lenses, Convexo-concace in convenient focal length.

CAMERA LENS

Camera lensThe camera lenses transmits for 400 - 600nm and reflects from 800-1100nm. These lenses are being used for first hormonic Nd:Yag that is for 1064nm.
