Decorative Coatings

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) of thin films has become popular decorative applications, such as decorative items for watch industry, fashion accessories, glass beads, acrylic beads, glass beaded jewelry, etc. Decorative coatings are scratch resistant and gives a bright color to substrates.

PVD technology is replacing the usual method of electroplating from various aspects like chemical hazard, material conception and cost, coating compatibility, product durability, etc.

Moreover, the PVD decorative coatings have the following advantages such as

  • Scratch and Wear resistant,
  • Perfect adhesion, deposition on steel, Plastic, brass, Zinc, and aluminium,
  • Excellent color consistancy, etc.

By using electron beam & Magnetron sputtering techniques, HHV has developed two types of colors viz., Metallic rose gold and Metallic Blue on glass as well as metallic substrate for watch industry.
