Hind High Vacuum Company is India’s premier high vacuum technology company with over 55 years of expertise in the design and manufacture of high vacuum equipment for research and industrial applications. HHV consists of three divisions. The Thin Film Equipment Division manufactures a wide range of PVD and CVD coating systems starting from a bench top coater to industrial-scale vacuum coating systems and large area in-line coaters. The Systems Division specializes in building vacuum furnaces, hot presses and special purpose vacuum equipment for complex metallurgical applications. The Thin Films and Optics Division designs and fabricates thin film coatings for optical, functional and decorative applications as well as machines and manufactures high precision optical components.
Selected candidates will gain insight and knowledge into HHV’s R and D and manufacturing activities, receive a certificate of internship and gain critical knowledge and skills related to vacuum technology which is essential requirement for getting placed in HHV. HHV’s research activities include:
Equipment based research that includes developing new types of equipment such as the Plasma Atomic Layer Deposition system, advanced functionality vacuum coating equipment, machines to suit customer requirements and developing gadgetry for vacuum coating units such as magnetrons, ion guns and effusion cells. As part of the development process we also research application and process development.
Thin films and optics research projects include the design and development of ITO coatings for transparent heaters used in the defense sector, plate-up technology for metallized circuits for space applications and infrared anti reflection coatings for night vision optics.
